  • Health and Safety

    Always our number one priority

Risk assessment is at the core of the services we offer.  The management of the health and safety risks our work presents to both ourselves and the wider community is therefore fully integrated into our procedures.

In order to ensure we have expert independent advice in connection to our health and safety responsibilities, BRD employ RPA Safety Services ltd. to review our policy and procedures at regular intervals as well being available for project specific advice.

All site staff hold a valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card demonstrating they have passed the appropriate level of health and safety test.  All our regular site staff also attend a CITB approved site supervisor training course every five years so their knowledge is maintained.

BRD’s commitment to health and safety is also demonstrated by its registration of compliance with the Construction Health and Safety Assessment  Scheme (CHAS), SMAS Worksafe and CQMS Safety Scheme.

In respect of First Aid, BRD goes well beyond its legal duties with all employees eligible to undertake training in this area.  We do this in recognition of first aid training as a life skill that will be of value to the whole community.
